Good Question!
A huge number of my clients actually had their company's coverage in term of medical and/or personal accident coverage, but still they took another personal prudential life insurance policy. Be it conventional or takaful plan.
Why?
Because company's insurance coverage normally cover (pay) the cost of medical/accident treatment, but they don't pay any insurance benefits to you at all.
However, personal life insurance plan is much more comprehensive, where it covers those treatment cost as well as paying you additional benefits such as daily hospital admission benefit & surgical benefit.
Prudential daily hospital benefits may pay you from as low as few hundred ringgit and up to few thousands ringgit in cash cheque mode |
This additional benefit varies depending on case by case basis. You may receive an additional amount of cash from few hundreds ringgit up to few thousands ringgit Malaysia.
Whether the treatment cost is paid by your good company / by your Prudential personal insurance protection plan, you are still entitled to receive this kind of additional benefits (as stated inside your policy).
If you refer back my earlier post - Salam Ramadhan 2012 dated 26th July 12, 2 of my warded clients were paid by their company where they work with (cost of admission treatment), but still they are able to claim above-mentioned additional benefits (Prudential personal life insurance benefits). Each of them will receive RM200 & RM1,000 daily hospital allowance benefits respectively.
Did the explanation answered the question raised earlier in the 1st paragraph?
