If I have free time (very seldom actually), I would spend the time watching Master Chef Malaysia program, aired via Astro Ria Channel. I like to cook, and I prefer to cook good food every time I spend my cooking time in the kitchen. One of my best menus is - turmeric fried cuttlefish @ "sotong goreng kunyit" in malay language.
In the program, all contestants compete with each other. On each challenge, they cook to their level best. 3 juries will finally evaluate their final cooked food.
In my view, to be a good chef, it is not just to cook good food, but also to SERVE the customer with great food taste. I truly believe, each & every chef will be very happy when their cooking is good & the food serves the customer's expectation. Cook & Serve.
One of my client called me on 4th of January 2012 to meet up. His child was warded for 4 days, and he would like to pass to me the completed docs for further processing work; to claim for his child daily Hospital Benefits. Based on calculation, he will get at least RM600 cash cheque in addition, (the treatment cost is already paid by Medical Card). I met him up & settle all related docs that night.

If Chef duty is to COOK & SERVE, I would say that one of my profession responsibilities is to PROCESS & SERVE. I may not be able to cook & serve all my insurance clients, but from the very first day I had promised myself, I ll process their claim whichever they are entitled to & serve them with the claim amount as it supposed to be when the time comes. Be it rain or shine. God Willing.
