True Story: Critical Illness (Blindness)

Just calling one of my old friends yesterday’s night. We were not contacting each other for few years.

He was an EON Service Centre Chief Mechanic  in Section 24, Shah Alam. I used to send my car there, when I was renting a house in Section 17, Shah Alam. I called because I planned to bring my car for certain repair work.

However, he responded sadly & informed that he is no more in charge.

“I stop working more than a year ago. My eyesight had serious problem. I couldn’t see properly. The Doctor suspected that both eyes were infected by kind of poisonous chemicals (might be due to all those engine oils & sort of chemical liquid for Car Servicing purpose). Now I am jobless, stay in hometown & looking after my children”.

What else could I say… As an old friend, I could only pray for his betterness.

Good thing is, at least the Chief Mechanic was protected earlier by an insurance company. And the company is Prudential (His Agent is not me).  Prudential is paying him now (I guess Basic & Critical Illness riders have done their part in helping the Client).

To Readers: HAVE YOU GOT YOURSELF PROTECTED?
